Location: Gulf Freeway Branch
Reporting: Branch Manager
Description: This position's duties include several areas of branch operations: answering telephone calls, servicing customers, using computer to generate invoice, loading item(s) in customer's vehicle. Responsible for the safe operation of all branch material handling equipment while pulling accurate orders, loading branch and customer vehicles and timely deliveries to customer locations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide fast and friendly customer service in person or over the telephone.
- Display a positive attitude by greeting customers as they enter the branch.
- Ensure commitments made to customers are met/exceeds expectation.
- Pull customer orders from warehouse and load into company delivery trucks, customer vehicles or stage items for pick up while using safe material handling procedures.
- Produce and complete accurate paperwork including but not limited to invoices, C.O.D.’s, special orders, shipping and receiving paperwork.
- Ensure all product leaving the branch is billed. Collect payment via cash or credit card and by following all money handling procedures.
- Unload deliveries to branch by hand or by using material handling equipment (MHE) and place product in assigned stocking areas.
- Immediately report damage, safety issues and accidents to supervisor.
- Perform all warehouse related duties including maintaining the appearance of the warehouse and entire facility. Duties include but are not limited to clearing debris, pallets and cartons, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning bathroom, emptying trash and tidying shelves.
- Maintain branch appearance daily.
- Promote a positive image of the company; develop and maintain effective business relationships with customers, employees, and retail partners; serve as a liaison between the branch and corporate departments.
- Address and resolve complex customer service issues and employee disputes; perform and review tasks requiring manager-level approvals.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service, problem solving and relationship management skills with the ability to convey a positive attitude and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, tact and salesmanship.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective sales acumen.
- Strong practical knowledge of HVAC products, supplies, know-how and market trends.
- Developed critical thinking and decision making skills with the ability to interpret and analyze employee and customer issues.
- Strong attention to detail with high concern for data accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and projects in a fast paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
